Fans React To Trump's UFC White House Plans – ‘Elon Vs. Trump'

Fans have reacted to the news that President Trump plans on holding a UFC event in 2026 at the White House. 

The news comes following Trump’s rally in Iowa, where he made the announcement. It is part of his wider plans to celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence in the United States, which will have its 250th anniversary. Tump has developed a good relationship with the CEO of the Dana White. Trump helped the UFC host its earlier events, with venues in Atlantic City.

Meanwhile, White has shown his support for Trump’s Presidential aims, having spoken at the RNC in 2016, 2020 and 2024. The support helped Trump win a second presidential term, beating Kamala Harris along the way. Trump is also a strong follower of the UFC, having regularly attended events. His last appearance was at UFC 316, as he watched Merab Dvalishvili beat Sean O’Malley to claim the bantamweight belt.

Trump also outlined his plans, which feature a Patriot Games, putting athletes from all 50 states to compete against each other. The first-ever sporting event at the White House would no doubt do wonders for the UFC, which is looking for its next broadcasting deal. Here is what Trump had to say. 

"Does anybody watch UFC? The great Dana White. We’re going to have a UFC fight on the grounds of the White House. We have a lot of land there. Dana’s going to do it. Dana’s great, one of a kind. We’re going to have a UFC fight, a championship fight, like full fight, 20, 25,000 people and we’re going to do that as part of 250 also. We’re going to have some incredible events. Some professional events, some amateur events but the UFC fight’s going to be a big deal, too," Trump said

Naturally, MMA fans have responded. Some have called for a fight featuring Elon Musk. This was following Musk’s recent feud with Trump, despite having offered his help to the President as part of DOGE. Since his departure from the White House, Musk has been heavily critical of Trump, even suggesting perhaps its time for a new party to rival the Democracts and Republicans. Musk was previously linked with an MMA fight against Mark Zuckerberg, only for that to fail. Fans have now even called for a Trump-Musk fight to settle their feud, given Elon had previously called out Vladimir Putin.
