Kamaru Usman, the ex-UFC Welterweight Champion, faces Joaquin Buckley on June 14, as fans gave their predictions.

Usman enters the Octagon for the first time since his loss to Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 294 in October 2023. The defeat was tough to take since it was the third loss on the spin. Usman has not tasted victory since his win against Colby Covington at UFC 268 in 2021. Buckley is a very dangerous opponent. He has won six consecutive bouts, most recently defeating Colby Covington last year in their UFC Tampa matchup. Usman has said he would like to fight Islam Makhachev following the news that he is likely to move up to welterweight, having vacated his lightweight belt. However, he has ruled out an Belal Muhammad fight.

"I love Islam, I really care for him. If this is the decision he wanted to make and chose to make, then I’m all for it. As it pertains to me as a fighter, I love it. I believe he’s next to challenge for that title. As a champion going up, you should absolutely get that opportunity, if you’re willing to vacate the belt like he did. I love it," Usman said

"But what do you [Belal] have to offer me? You going to give me a side deal? You going to throw me a little extra cash on the side? If he’s willing to do that, maybe. But who knows? I hope he’s recovering well. That was a tough loss. Hopefully, he bounces back,” Usman said
