Irish Commonwealth Games gold medalist Dylan Eagleson has signed a long-term contract with Zuffa Boxing and will make his professional debut Aug. 8 on Sky Sports, according to a Bad Left Hook report.

The 23-year-old bantamweight won regional amateur titles dating back to 2018 and is regarded as one of the top prospects in Ireland. Eagleson told Sky Sports he was eager to begin working under the new promotion's structure.

Eagleson on joining Zuffa's growing roster

"I'm buzzing to have signed with Zuffa, the biggest promotion in the game," Eagleson said. "I accomplished a lot as an amateur and believe Zuffa will give me the tools necessary to become a champion."

Zuffa continues building its fighter stable as Dana White pushes the company toward its stated goal of launching proprietary titles and tournament formats. White has said the public will see concrete results before year's end.

No opponent has been named for Eagleson's debut. The Sky broadcast is expected to air in the U.K. and Ireland on Aug. 8.
