He has lost millions on wagers in recent years, including a bet on Francis Ngannou to defeat Anthony Joshua in their 2023 boxing match — a fight Joshua won comfortably. The pattern of losses has given rise to the "Drake curse," a superstition among combat sports fans that a public Drake endorsement is a reliable indicator of the opposite outcome.

McGregor enters UFC 329 as the underdog against Holloway, which means Drake is betting against the odds as well as against recent personal form. Whether that combination concerns him is not evident from the post.
