Former UFC welterweight title challenger Darren Till will make his bare-knuckle debut against Aaron Chalmers at BKFC 90 on May 30 in Birmingham, the promotion announced Tuesday.

Till revealed the matchup on “The Ariel Helwani Show” and told Yahoo Sports he signed a three-fight deal with terms he couldn’t refuse. “I have to just say, the reason Bare Knuckle happened is because I couldn’t turn down the offer,” Till said. “It was irrefusable. It excited me. It got me juices flowing.”

What Chalmers brings to BKFC 90

Chalmers, 38, competed on UK reality show “Geordie Shore” before building a 5-2 MMA record across BAMMA and Bellator, per Sherdog. He has since moved into bare knuckle and boxing exhibitions, stopping Chas Symonds at BKFC 72 last year to push his BKFC record to 2-0.

Till left the UFC in 2022 after dropping four of his last five and moved to boxing, going 3-0 under the Misfits banner before announcing his departure earlier this month. As MMA Fighting first reported, “The Gorilla” knocked out Luke Rockhold in his most recent outing last August.

Till told Yahoo he expects a different challenge at BKFC 90. “These guys, they’re not your traditional martial artists. They’re all just very gritty, hard-punching guys. So, you’ve got to come in here with a different type of mentality, which we will be doing.”

The bout headlines BKFC 90 at Utilita Arena in Birmingham, England.
