Dana White announces $425K bonuses for UFC Freedom 250
UFC CEO Dana White announced Friday that fighters competing at UFC Freedom 250 can earn up to $425,000 in post-fight bonus money, with Liberty Financial partnering on the increased awards.
White disclosed the figures during the pre-fight press conference for Saturday's card at the White House South Lawn, according to MMA Mania. Performance of the Night bonuses will pay $425,000 each, while Fight of the Night awards stand at $400,000.
What the elevated bonuses mean for UFC Freedom 250 roster
The seven-fight card features a lightweight title unification bout between champion Ilia Topuria and interim titleholder Justin Gaethje, alongside a heavyweight matchup pitting former two-division champion Alex Pereira against former interim titleholder Ciryl Gane.
White has positioned the Washington D.C. event as a takeover of the nation's capital, though the promotion faced legal obstacles before a federal judge rejected a last-second injunction attempt earlier this week. The outdoor setting on the South Lawn introduces variables like weather and insects that White cannot control, unlike the fight card itself.
Pereira reportedly stands to bank $10 million for his heavyweight debut against Gane. UFC Freedom 250 streams live on Paramount Plus beginning Saturday afternoon.
