Conor McGregor reveals two-fight plan to finish UFC contract

Conor McGregor has two fights remaining on his UFC contract, and he already knows when both are scheduled to happen.

McGregor returns at UFC 329 on July 11 against Max Holloway in a welterweight bout, his first appearance since July 2021. Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, the former two-division champion confirmed that his second and final fight under the current deal is tentatively set for April 2027. He described the nearly year-long gap between bookings as ridiculous.

"Right now, I am contracted, and I have both dates," McGregor said, per Sherdog. "I have July 11 and I have — where would you think they would put me back in? When would you think they would put me back in? April 2027. It's almost a year later. That's ridiculous to me."

The Dublin native also addressed how his deal changed under the UFC's new Paramount Plus media rights agreement. With numbered events now behind a subscription wall instead of the old pay-per-view model, McGregor's previous points structure no longer applied. He said the sides met in the middle on compensation, though he acknowledged the figure likely fell short of his market value.

"We met in the middle. We got a juicy one," McGregor said. "Was it what my worth is? Probably not. Was it what they wanted to offer? Definitely not. I'm a fair operator. I love the Ultimate Fighting Championship, and I'd love to continue."

McGregor added that he hopes to negotiate another UFC contract once the current two-fight run is complete. UFC 329 takes place July 11, with the welterweight clash against Holloway serving as McGregor's first step back into the cage after nearly four years away.
