Conor McGregor predictions wrong 71% of the time since 2021

Conor McGregor has missed on more than seven out of every 10 fight predictions he has made since his last UFC appearance in 2021, according to data compiled by Casino.org and first reported by MMA Mania.

McGregor once dubbed himself "Mystic Mac" for his ability to call fight outcomes, but the numbers tell a different story. Among his recent misfires: Robert Whittaker by knockout over Khamzat Chimaev, Renan Ferreira by knockout over Francis Ngannou, and Max Holloway by knockout over Ilia Topuria. His overall accuracy rate since the Dustin Poirier leg break sits at 28.6 percent.

McGregor's worst predictions involve timing and method

The study found that McGregor's vague picks — broad declarations like "I'll destroy him" with no specific method — have come true just 33.3 percent of the time. His timing calls are even worse, with only 28.6 percent of his round or finish-window predictions landing. When he does call the type of finish, he manages a 55.6 percent success rate, though still below a coin flip when you factor in the misses.

McGregor's latest forecast is a "spectacular demolition" of Holloway at UFC 329 on July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The rematch marks McGregor's first cage appearance since the tibia fracture at UFC 264 and arrives just days before he turns 38. It is the second-to-last fight on his current UFC contract.

UFC 329 takes place during International Fight Week. McGregor enters as a betting underdog against Holloway, whom he defeated by decision at featherweight in 2013.
