Conor Benn taunts Ryan Garcia with Gervonta Davis knockout photo
Conor Benn posted a photo of Ryan Garcia kneeling after Gervonta Davis dropped him with a body shot in 2023, escalating their social media feud ahead of a rumored September fight.
The Zuffa Boxing signee wrote on X alongside the knockout image, "One on One… you quit! I stand and fight, proven! Hope you're ready to dig in deep kid," per Sherdog. The taunt came after Garcia had posted that boxing was "one-on-one" and promised to end Benn.
World Cup banter sparked the feud
The back-and-forth began when Garcia predicted Mexico would beat England 3-1 in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Benn responded that his opponent's belt would be "coming home with me in September, you clown."
Neither fighter nor Zuffa Boxing has officially confirmed the bout, though rumors of a deal have circulated for weeks. Garcia has not fought since his April 2024 win over Devin Haney, which was later ruled a no-contest after he tested positive for a banned substance. Benn remains on a provisional suspension in the UK following two adverse findings in 2022.
The proposed September date would give both welterweights their first sanctioned fight in over a year.
