Charles Oliveira spams UFC 329 presser seeking Gaethje rematch

Former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira took his title shot campaign to the comment section of Saturday's UFC 329 post-fight press conference, flooding the broadcast feed with calls for a rematch against current champion Justin Gaethje.

Oliveira attended the Las Vegas event expecting to see Conor McGregor's return after five years, but the Irishman suffered a knee injury on his opening kick against Max Holloway, forcing a stoppage just over a minute into the first round. Holloway used his post-fight appearance to request a lightweight title shot against Gaethje despite the anticlimactic finish.

Oliveira's comment spree targets Gaethje rematch

While Holloway spoke to reporters, Oliveira began spamming the live stream comments with a simple message. "Charles [vs.] Justin," the Brazilian wrote repeatedly, per Sherdog. Social media accounts captured screenshots showing multiple identical comments from Oliveira stacked in the chat feed.

The former champion submitted Gaethje in the first round of their 2022 meeting. Oliveira most recently defeated Holloway by decision in March, claiming the BMF title in a dominant performance that pushed his record to 37-11.

Gaethje has yet to respond publicly to either challenger's demands. The UFC lightweight title picture remains unsettled with McGregor sidelined and multiple contenders positioning for the next shot.
