Blachowicz On Rough Stirling TKO Loss

Jan Blachowicz kept his reaction short after suffering a first-round TKO loss to Navajo Stirling at UFC Belgrade on Saturday. The former heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">light heavyweight champion posted a message on social media acknowledging his latest setback.

"It is what it is," Blachowicz wrote, per BJPenn.com. "Another one for the collection."

The 43-year-old Polish fighter has not won since 2022 and is now winless in his last five outings, going 0-3-2 in that stretch. His last victory came against Aleksandar Rakic, who withdrew due to a knee injury. Blachowicz had not been stopped by TKO since 2019 before Saturday's loss.

The former champion once defended his title against Israel Adesanya but has since dropped fights to Alex Pereira, Carlos Ulberg, and now Stirling, with draws against Magomed Ankalaev and Bodgan Guskov mixed in. Blachowicz held the No. 13 spot in the UFC rankings heading into Belgrade and could fall out of the top 15 when the standings update.

Stirling, a City Kickboxing product and Contender Series alum, remains unbeaten and figures to face higher-ranked opposition next. The stoppage marked the biggest win of his professional career. UFC Belgrade awards four performance bonuses, with Stirling among the recipients.
