Nate Diaz Smokes During His Jake Paul Training Camp

Nate Diaz was spotted smoking in his training camp, as he prepares to face Jake Paul on August 5th, 2023.

The MMA star has not fought since his win over Tony Ferguson at UFC 279 in 2022. Therefore, this was far from the ideal preparation that was needed to get ready for what will be Diaz’s boxing debut.

After all, Paul is a boxer who has been in the ring with a professional as shown in his defeat to Tommy Fury.

Despite that being the case, he did lose via a split decision which was better than what critics had expected him to do.

Not only that, but he has faced and beaten MMA stars. His victories over Tyron Woodley, Ben Askren and Anderson Silva had shown that. And yet, Diaz appeared far from worried.

Diaz Not Concerned By Paul

In the video here, Diaz can be seen shadow boxing as he has a cigarette in his mouth.

It is not clear if this was being done for publicity to lull Paul into a false sense of security. Regardless, the ‘Problem Child’ seems focused on the task ahead by way of comparison.

Paul Is Focused

In the footage, Paul can be seen taking body shots from the undisputed featherweight champion Amanda Serrano. And in doing so, Paul appears to be pushing the limits as he works through the pain barrier.

And by the looks of it, Paul is not leaving anything to chance.

“This is the best camp by far. They’re letting me as the fighter paint my painting. Boxing is an art and now they’re letting me be the artist, before that was taken away from me,” Paul

Nevertheless, this is most likely another attempt to promote the fight after Paul did accuse Diaz of not doing enough to publicize it.

Paul was pictured doing something similar by smoking, as he hit the speed bag in preparation for facing Diaz.

And one way or another, it has gotten many people talking which will only draw in the crowds for the pay-per-view event.
