Nate Diaz Promises To Beat Fury, Joshua And Wilder - 'I'll Whoop All Your A***s'

Nate Diaz has controversially claimed that he would beat boxing’s top heavyweights.

His comments were in response to Anthony Joshua’s knockout win over Francis Ngannou. The Brit dropped Ngannou three times before stopping him in round nine. That was Ngannou’s first-ever boxing defeat, as he could not follow up on his impressive performance against Tyson Fury. But it is important to note that it was only Ngannou’s second-ever boxing bout. Diaz was not impressed by what Joshua had done, vowing to beat boxing’s best heavyweights.

Diaz Reacts

Those comments were in jest when we look at Diaz’s boxing record. He has only ever had one fight, which was against Jake Paul. Diaz lost a unanimous decision against Paul, who has only recently decided to dedicate himself to the sport as a professional.

The MMA fighter also had to get off the canvas against Paul, showing that the top heavyweights could equally do the same. Diaz is known for fighting at 170 pounds in the UFC, so facing the heavyweights would mean going up against fighters who are over 200 pounds.

Diaz would clearly have a better time against them if it was an MMA bout. He had the chance to fight Paul under MMA rules in the PFL. Paul had offered $10 million to make it happen. Diaz failed to take up the offer.

Diaz’s Options

“We’re at the drawing board right now. Nate Diaz ducked the $10 million offer, so he’s not the badass that everyone said he was. I wanted to fight him in MMA and do something that no boxer has really ever done, which is, in the prime of their career, go over to MMA. MMA fighters have gone over to boxing, but I want to go over to MMA and Nate Diaz ducked the offer,” Paul stated

But Diaz has been linked with facing Jorge Masvidal in a boxing bout. They faced off in 2019 at UFC 244. Masvidal won by a third-round stoppage after the New York State Athletic Commission stopped the bout. It was in response to a cut over Diaz’s right eye. Talks over a boxing bout were ongoing, but nothing has been announced. But Gambread is serious about making the fight.

“I’m definitely trying to do some boxing matches. I love MMA, it’s my favorite sport in the whole world. I did it for 20 years, it’ll always be number one to me. But, a chance to do some boxing matches, things like that, I wouldn’t mind breaking facing someone’s face.

“These guys are doing half-assed jobs on these shows. That’s why they aren’t able to go out there and be mean every second of every minute of every round. They’re f**king taking time off, they’re f**king pointing at each other, they’re taking selfies in the f**king ring. When I go in there, it’s only to scrap man,” Masvidal said
