McGregor’s Security Stops An ‘Attack’
Conor McGregor’s popularity is as low as ever after a man tried to attack him.
The incident took place at BKFC Dubai, where McGregor was on hand to promote the event. He has a stake in the promotion, having previously indicated his desire to fight in BKFC. He has not been in a fight since 2021. Conor suffered a loss to Dustin Poirier in that fight, as he came out with a broken leg. He was on course to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303. However, he pulled out with a broken toe. The Irishman was linked with a fight against Dan Hooker.
McGregor said the bout would be happening on February 1. However, that never came to fruition. Conor was also linked with a boxing fight against Logan Paul. Reports indicated that the two could have earned $250 million each for the fight. That would have been McGregor’s first boxing bout since his debut against Floyd Mayweather in 2017. Once again, that fight never happened, and McGregor suffered another setback.
McGregor’s popularity suffered during this period. He was found liable in a civil sexual lawsuit after Nikita Hand accused him of sexually assaulting her in 2018. Numerous brands cut ties with McGregor as a result, including the Proper No 12. Whiskey brand and the Hitman Video game franchise. The Irishman’s future in the UFC is in doubt despite having two fights left in the UFC. During a recent visit to the White House, McGregor met the US President Donald Trump. McGregor addressed the media, hitting out at Ireland’s failure to deal with its issues, namely illegal immigration.
McGregor’s Aim
“Ireland must fully implement the EU Migration Pact by June 12, 2026. So between now and 12 June 2026, several pieces of legislation have to be passed by both Houses of the Oireachtas & then signed by the President. The next presidential election must take place by 11 Nov 2025 Who else will stand up to (the) Government and oppose this bill? Any other Presidential candidate they attempt to put forward will be of no resistance to them. I will! For clarity also, as President, I would put forth this bill to referendum. Although I oppose greatly this pact, it is neither mine nor governments choice to make.
“It is the people of Irelands choice! Always! That is a true democracy! I would also be curious to hear our government officials reasoning for agreeing with this pact so fervently. I would love to hear the debates! Followed then by vote! This is the future of Ireland with me as President. All citizens of Ireland to have a voice and a choice on their future! But not everyone is on board with McGregor. The video shows a man trying to hit McGregor. Conor’s security gets in the way by hitting the man, who suffered bleeding. MMA fans had plenty to say about the incident.
