McGregor Tells Mike Perry To Leave BKFC - 'Smelly, You're Fired'

Conor McGregor has doubled down on his claim that Mike Perry is out of BKFC following his loss to Jake Paul

Perry was dropped three times on his way to a sixth-round stoppage as Paul overpowered the BKFC fighter. Before the fight, McGregor had put his support behind Perry. Perry is 5-0 in BKFC, making him the face of the promotion. Since McGregor became a part-owner of BKFC, it was in his interests to see Perry do well. Mike had talked up a big game. But he could not deliver on fight night, as Paul was simply too much. Following his loss, McGregor stated that Perry was fired from the franchise.

McGregor Vs. Perry

“Hey Mike you’re released and you can go and compete in your smelly dirty boxing championship thing, the smell of it, good luck. You’re fired. @bareknucklefc,” McGregor

Perry fired back by questioning the nature of his ownership.

“He doesn’t…have a promotion because me and him are both owners of BKFC. He can’t fire me. We can fight bareknuckle. Look at me. I lost to Jake Paul. Why don’t you go fight Jake Paul and box him with the gloves on. I think it would be worse than Conor McGregor vs. (Floyd) Mayweather,” Perry replied

That was not the last, with McGregor making it clear that Perry would be out of the organization.

“Michael you are not any owner in bkfc. Not an iota. You have the tiniest minute dot of a share in thriller. The social media video app. Which is promising in fairness. But it’s a speckle you have. You hold nothing in bare knuckle. Not an iota. And trust me, you are out bro,” McGregor said

Perry Gets Support

Terrance McKinney, the UFC lightweight, came to Perry’s defense. He called out McGregor by stating that Perry decided to pursue a bigger payday, which the Irishman should have supported. This was in reference to McGregor’s decision to box Floyd Mayweather in 2017. Despite getting stopped in round ten, McGregor made a reported $100 million from the fight. McGregor responded by telling McKinney that Perry could have earned more in BKFC, questioning the decision to face Paul, as his brand has been damaged.

“Of all people you’re mad he went and boxed to get a big pay day? Cmon brotha you should understand, you did the same thing. Maybe BKFC should pay more if you wanna keep the talent in house idk but this ain’t it brotha. You’re better than this,” McKinney said

“Hey there, no nothing bum, whoever…you are. This was not a big payday whatsoever. Bkfc pay way more. This was the personal decision of a [fool]. He had written into his contract he could have one fight outside of organization. This was what he wanted,” McGregor responded

There is a narrative in place for McGregor to face Perry in BKFC. McGregor has said he is open to fighting under the promotion once his UFC contract expires. Based on the bad blood developing between Perry and McGregor, fans could see that play out in BKFC.
