McGregor Teases A BKFC Fight With Jeremy Stephens

Conor McGregor has hinted that he could face Jeremy Stephens in a potential BKFC fight later down the line.

McGregor has two fights left on his UFC deal, but he has not had one since his 2021 loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. He was on course to fight Michael Chandler on June 29 at UFC 303. However, a broken toe meant he had to pull out. McGregor is a part-owner of the BKFC, and he has suggested that he wants to fight in the franchise. Stephens and McGregor have a history in the UFC. During the build-up for UFC 205, Stephens tried to build up the interest to fight McGregor. McGregor was asked who would give him the toughest fight. Stephens responded immediately by saying the following:

McGregor vs. Stephens

“Right here. Right here. The hardest-hitting 145lber. The real hardest-hitting 145iber. This guy TKOs people. When I knock people out, they don’t…move,” Stephens

“Who the [hell] is that guy?” McGregor

Stephens is now a part of BKFC. He is currently 2-0 and is coming off a unanimous decision win against Bobby Taylor. Once he secured the win, Stephens spoke out over the win.

“Utah you are some great…fans, David Feldman said this is going to be a staple here. I would love to continue fighting here and Conor McGregor. Who wouldn’t love to beat up their…boss baby? I’m living the dream,” Stephens

McGregor has now suggested that it is a fight which interests him.

“In our co-main event also we have ‘who the…[hell] s that guy’ facing off again against Bobby Taylor. Me and ‘who the [hell[‘ is an exciting bare knuckle fight down the line 100 percent,” McGregor

Will It Happen?

That all depends on how fast McGregor can return to fighting. He has three losses our of his last four UFC bouts. With two fights still left under his deal, McGregor faces the prospect of being stuck on the sidelines for a while. He is 35 years old, and doubts remain about whether he will fight this year. He also has the option of entering into boxing.

Fights with Jake Paul and Manny Pacquaio have been teased throughout the years. However, the appeal of BKFC is that McGregor can use his wider brand to make it grow. He has his Forge Irish Stout products, which have sponsored combat sports events to increase his profile even more. McGregor’s outside ventures have put him on course to becoming a billionaire once his fighting career is over.  Based on his following comments, a BKFC fight is inevitable.

“For me, I’ve got a bit of business left with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, two fights left on my contract. But for sure we have three lightweights up here and I have my eye on all of this. I’m not here up here just as a knower, player-manager I’d title myself on this,” McGregor
