In the MMA latest updates, Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz fired verbal shots at each other on social media as they looked back at their first two fights.

McGregor-Diaz History

In their first fight at UFC 196, Diaz beat McGregor via a rear naked choke in the second round. In the rematch at UFC 202, however, the Irishman got his revenge with a majority decision.

And with the rivalry at 1-1, McGregor has talked about the possibility of fighting Nate in a trilogy. However, the ‘Notorious’ has not fought since his loss to Dustin Poirier in 2021 when he broke his leg.

And McGregor’s failure to enroll in UASDA has also restricted his ability to make a comeback in 2023. So in the meantime, McGregor and Diaz talked up their rivalry on social media in light of the controversial 10-8 scorecard in the Alex Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko fight.

McGregor And Diaz Trash Talk

“Was round 1 where I dropped Nate once, and round 2 where I dropped Nate twice, scored 10-8s? They shoulda been, it was a cake walk on points,” McGregor

“When I killed you off, I should’ve never gave you a rematch. I never get a rematch especially when I don’t really lose like n our 2nd fight or my last fight. I just let u pussy run off into sunset like you won .. Live with it ur both pussys,” Diaz

“You’ll get your rematch, lad,” McGregor

Although there is a demand for a rematch, McGregor must provide USADA with two negative samples over a six month period before he can consider a return.

As for Diaz, his last fight was a boxing match against Jake Paul as the MMA fighter has not been active in MMA since his win over Tony Ferguson in 2022. So both fighters have plenty to think about moving forward.

Cormier On Miocic-Jones

In addition, Daniel Cormier has given Stipe Miocic a good chance of causing an upset when he faces Jon Jones at UFC 295 on November 11th, 2023.

Miocic’s last fight was all the way back in 2021 when he was knocked out in the second round against Francis Ngannou. The defeat meant that the former two-time champion of the heavyweight division took some time out.

In that period, Miocic has added on more muscle in an attempt to assert his dominance over bigger fighters. And given that Cormier has faced Miocic on three occasions, he is well qualified to have his say on the fighter.

During their first encounter, Cormier came out victorious as he stopped his opponent. Thereafter, Miocic went on to win the next two fights via a TKO and a unanimous decision to take the trilogy with a record of 2-1. As such, Cormier questioned those who were not giving Miocic a fair chance of winning.

“I spoke to someone in the Miocic camp and they told me he’s never looked better. He looks huge, he looks big, he looks strong. Now, is that going to be enough? I don’t know. I’m just giving you this information. I’m pulling the curtain back so that you guys can understand that expect the Stipe Miocic from the title run (as) opposed to the guy we saw later – the small guy, the skinny guy. Obviously, he beat me two times back-to-back when he was saying those things, and I would almost brush them off because you take his personality and you almost take Miocic for granted. You forget he’s one of the most dangerous men on the planet. But again, he’s carrying that chip,” Cormier
