Floyd Mayweather has denied suggestions that he witnessed the murder of rapper Tupac Shakur.
Those comments arrived in the aftermath of a video which seemed to suggest that the boxer had witnessed the actual murder.
Although that may have been the case, Bradley denied doing anything of the sort. The rapper had infamously been shot in Las Vegas in 1996 when he was just 25 years old.
This was in the aftermath of the rapper having watched Mike Tyson knockout Bruce Sheldon to win the WBA heavyweight world title.
The person who was responsible for the death still remains a mystery. Therefore, the following video of Mayweather describing the events was quite telling.
“The car pulled right here and shot Tupac at this light. The car went that way. I was living right here [gesturing across the road] in 1996 when Tupac got killed, I ain’t ever told nobody. Only the closest people with me know,” Mayweather
Those comments could have proven problematic, given the willingness of people to get to the bottom of the truth. In addition, it may have led to Mayweather suffering more questions as a result.
And at a time where Mayweather does not need to be in the spotlight, given all of his accomplishments both inside and outside of the ring, the star wanted to clear up any misconceptions that may have emerged. The following comments confirmed as much.

“I have never said I witnessed the shooting. All of these false accusations stem from me sharing the location of the shooting with John Singleton due to my familiarity of the area since I lived there.
“This does not mean I witnessed Tupac’s shooting. John Singleton was making a documentary or movie about Tupac, so he reached out to me asking where Flamingo and Koval Ln was located
John was my friend, so I showed him this location with no hesitation. The location of Tupac’s shooting is public knowledge and me living near there was just a coincidence.
“I did not witness Tupac Shakur’s death,” Mayweather
The murder ultimately left a shockwave amongst the musician’s fans and beyond. Although the perpetrator may not have been found, the fact of the matter is that Tupac Shakur’s music has left an imprint on many people. And there is no getting away from that.
