Former BMF Champion Jorge Masvidal wants a third fight with Nate Diaz, as he disputed the outcome of their 2024 boxing match.

The two are currently tied at 1-1 in their rivalry after Diaz avenged his loss in the 2019 BMF title fight by securing a majority decision win in their 2024 boxing fight. “Gamebred” insists the judges “robbed” him during their most recent encounter in the ring. Masvidal’s argument for a trilogy is built on the statistics of their rematch. He pointed to Compubox data showing he outlanded Diaz in total strikes (181 to 151) and landed the more significant power shots throughout the middle rounds.

Masvidal On Diaz

“I think between men, he knows it’s 2-0 all the way. Ain’t no way that fight in California I lost. The only reason why I lost it is because we see how corrupt California is. Gavin Newsome and all those [expletive]. I straight up won that [expletive] fight. I straight up won that fight. I threw more shots, he never rocked me.

“I just put my hands up, I let him throw and then, ‘Bam,’ I rocked his world. I thinking this is a fight, but I guess not in California. I got nothing personal against Nate. I have a lot of admiration for what he’s done in his career, but when we’re in there fighting, I feel way better in all aspects of fighting. I would love to smash him, man,” Masvidal said

Masvidal has been focused on the relaunch of Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA, recently announcing a $1 million tournament, while Diaz has said he wants to return to fighting after naming three targets (McGregor, Poirier, Mike Perry). The failure to name Masvidal suggests Nate’s focus is elsewhere.

Diaz’s Targets

Diaz’s primary target remains a trilogy bout with Conor McGregor, a rivalry currently deadlocked at 1-1. While McGregor is currently serving an 18-month suspension for anti-doping whereabouts failures, he is eligible to return on March 20, 2026, perfectly aligning with the June date.

Beyond McGregor, Diaz has reignited his long-standing feud with Dustin Poirier. Despite Poirier’s retirement in July 2025, the “Diamond” has recently hinted at a comeback, specifically to settle a score with Justin Gaethje. However, Diaz’s latest call-out seems to have struck a nerve, with Poirier responding on social media with a blunt “Belt to a**.”

The final name on Diaz’s radar is “The King of Violence,” Mike Perry. While Perry has become the face of bare-knuckle boxing in recent years, Perry’s relentless style makes him a prime candidate for an MMA fight.

“I’m ready to get back in real action. I want to fight either McGregor 3. I wanna fight maybe Dustin Poirier, if he stops being such a p*ssy, and then maybe Mike Perry. We’ll see what happens in the future,” Diaz said
