Masvidal Speaks Out After Pleading Guilty To Battery In Covington Case
In some top MMA news, Jorge Masvidal’s charges of battery and criminal mischief against Colby Covington have been dropped after his plea deal.
The former MMA fighter had reportedly attacked Covington last year while they were outside a restaurant. The incident occurred after Covington had beaten Masvidal at UFC 272 a few weeks earlier.
The former achieved some injuries in the form of broken teeth, as well as getting a concussion. However, Masvidal’s decision to plead guilty to a misdemeanor battery saw Judge Zachary James accept it.
And in doing so, Masvidal avoided up to 15 years in jail or a fine that could have gone up to $10,000. And yet, Masvidal did maintain that he was innocent from the off.
“Allegedly this, allegedly that. But I’m innocent, not guilty. I’m facing three felonies if you want to know the exact truth. And yeah, it’s still pending. This guy’s a coward f***, so what could I expect from a coward f*** like him,” Masvidal
Despite this being the case, Masvidal appears to have shown no signs of putting this aside. And the MMA fighter let everyone know in no uncertain terms that there was still some unfinished business between the pair.
Masvidal Reacts
“I don’t know when, but me and Colby are going to see each other at some point. Whether it’s in a f****** cage, or I don’t know where the f*** it’s going to be, but we’re going to see each other for him lying on my name, for him f****** pressing charges, for everything that he’s f****** done, we are going to see each other. And it’s going to be fun. It’s going to be interesting. I’m going to knock the rest of his f****** teeth out. I got to knock two of his f****** fake-ass teeth out. Three felonies and a misdemeanor! F*** you, motherf*****. You piece of s***. You know with three felonies I never could have had a job again. Look, I was scared for my life,” Masvidal said
Those comments did not sit very well with Chael Sonnen, who had a few choice words to say about the matter. He dismissed Masvidal’s words, given that the fighter will have to abide by the conditions of his plea deal, which will prevent Masvidal from approaching Covington anytime soon.

“Did you go to a Miami Car Shop to have them pull the dent Kamaru Usman put in your face out… On a related note-shouldn’t they just have replaced your entire face?… Lastly, A word of advice Don’t be two-faced, It means the next time you fight, you’re gonna have FOUR black eyes instead of the usual TWO,” Sonnen stated
