Masvidal Could Make A Comeback To The UFC

Jorge Masvidal has not ruled out a return to the UFC at some point in the future.
Masvidal’s last fight was all the way back at UFC 287 in April during which he suffered a defeat to Gilbert Burns as the bout went to the judges.
Although Masvidal walked away with a defeat, he has been given the title of being the first one to be the ‘BMF’ champion.
As of now, that acclaim hangs with Justin Gaethje after the former knocked out Dustin Poirier in the second round at UFC 291 with a vicious kick.
While it has only been around five months since Jorge walked away, the MMA star is open to the idea of returning to face Gaethje.
Masvidal On Coming Back
“I think he should defend it against me. That’s what should happen. If I was to come back to the sport. That’s a big if, but I never knock off coming back to fighting, because I love fighting. I love fighting. It’s my favorite pastime, It’s my favorite sport, it’s my way of life. So, I can never say I’m not going to fight,” Masvidal
But even if Masvidal does not end up returning to the sport, he was happy to see that the BMF title was in good hands.
He praised Gaethje for the manner in which he has been holding himself, especially since he had lost to Poirier the first time around which caused him to regroup.
And given that Masvidal just so happened to be there to give Gaethje the belt after he beat Poirier, it was a bittersweet moment.
Masvidal On Gaethje
“I never said I’m not fighting this guy because he’s a high-level grappler or this guy because he’s a f******g better striker than me. One or all, they’re all the same to me. Gaethje pretty much has that attitude, that’s why he’s a bad motherf*cker. He’s not ducking nobody. That guy will literally fight anybody. A wrestler, striker, jiu-jitsu guy. He takes them all, and that’s a big requirement,” Gaethje
