Madrimov Does An Insane Cartwheel In The Media Workout; Crawford Reacts – ‘I’m Taking That Belt’

Terence Crawford and Israil Madrimov held their public workouts in the run-up to their fight on Saturday.
Crawford seeks to dethrone Madrimov for his WBA Junior Middleweight Title in his first fight in the division. He enters the fight with the best win of his career. Bud continued his 100 percent stoppage record at 147 by stopping Errol Spence Jr. He dropped The Truth three times on his way to a ninth-round stoppage.
Crawford Vs. Madrimov
The win made him the first Undisputed Welterweight Champion of the four-belt era. The win also made Crawford a two-weight undisputed champion. A win makes Crawford a four-weight champion as he may look to target a Canelo Alvarez fight at 168.
Madrimov secured the vacant title by knocking out Magomed Kurbanov in his previous fight. Madrimov is a less experienced fighter in the pro ranks, with a 10-0-1 record. However, his amateur record speaks for itself, with over 300 fights. He helped prepare Dmitry Bivol to beat Canelo Alvarez.
While he is viewed highly, can Madrimov do it in his own right? A win sets up a possible unification with Sebastian Fundora, who holds the WBC and WBO belts. Both fighters were confident at the media workout as they showed off their skills. Madrimov even did a backflip as he entered the ring, as he looked very relaxed.

Terence Crawford: “I feel great. Come Saturday, I got a treat for y’all.”
Mannix: “You said Madrimov is the best at 154. What kind of fight are you expecting from him?”
Crawford: “I’m expecting him to come out and try to do everything he can to try and dethrone me. This is the Terence Crawford era and I’m taking that belt.”
Mannix: “You’re going to be 37 in a couple of months [September 28]. You’re still fighting as well as you have before. You’re a first-ballot Hall of Famer whenever your career ends. What keeps you motivated to keep going in these types of events?”
Crawford: “The naysayers, the ones like you that say I’m old. I feel great. I never smoked and never drank. So my body is well preserved. I’m just so competitive. When I think I reached my ceiling, there’s always that extra push to do something I’ve never done before.”
Mannix: “The number of naysayers probably dwindled a lot in the last year.”
Crawford: “I don’t care.
