Keith Thurman vs. Brock Jarvis Predictions - 'Got Him By KO'

Boxing insiders gave their take on Keith Thurman vs. Brock Jarvis.

The junior middleweight clash takes place on March 12 from Sydney, Australia. Thurman hopes to get back to big time boxing having not fought since 2022. He secured a win against Mario Barrios in his last fight in 2022. He was aiming to fight Tim Tszyu in his next bout. However, a bicep injury forced him to pull out of the fight, missing out becoming the WBO Junior Middleweight Champion. Jarvis hopes to make it three wins in a row. He has won his last two fights, stopping  Marlon Paniamogan and Adrian Rodriguez. His only defeat was against his fellow Australian, the ex-IBF Junior Welterweight Champion Liam Paro

Pre-Fight

“At the end of the day, I’ve seen this time and time again. You know, I’m not trying to underestimate him. I’m trying to analyze the opponent that they happen to put in front of me. It’s not my fault that he’s square, that he just comes in, has no head movement, and he just believes that he’s going to drop bombs on the old man and that I’m going to crumble. Wednesday night is going to be a bad night for you, Keith Thurman. That’s what it’s going to be. I’m going to do some serious damage, just like me, baby. I’m going to send you into retirement,” Thurman

“Well, I’m certainly ready. I was looking at him the other day, and he doesn’t look ready to me at all. Looks like he was involved in a yoga class or something like that. I’m bringing the heat. I’m the one that’s going to bring the heat. [And] I’m coming in for the knockout. I’m not going to miss. I’m going to hit him, and I’m going to hurt him. So, it’s going to be interesting. I don’t know how he’s going to react at his age anymore,” Jarvis

Predictions

“I see this as a 60-40 fight. I believe Keith can control the distance, rhythm, speed, pace—everything. Brock needs to pressure him, really put in the work, and if he does that, I think he could pull it off. But we’ll see. I haven’t seen a strong jab from Brock, and with his height, he really needs one—especially against Keith. Thurman plays with rhythm, then breaks out of it to mix things up. A solid jab would stabilize him, but Brock doesn’t really have that kind of jab,” Shawn Porter stated

“I think it’s gonna be tough at first but Keith Thurman slightly edges it out, even though his inactivity could play a big part. But I believe he’s got the higher experience,” Tim Tszyu

“Thurman by KO,” Nikita Tszyu
