Kambosos And Garcia Engage In War Of Words On Social Media: ‘I Slept With His Wife’
George Kambosos Jr. and Ryan Garcia engaged in an ugly war of words over social media on Sunday, shortly after the Australian’s defeat to Vasiliy Lomachenko.
Former unified lightweight champion Kambosos had just suffered the third defeat of his career – all coming in his past four fights – after getting outclassed by Lomachenko in Perth, Australia. After 10 one-sided rounds, the Ukrainian ended the bout in the 11th following two knockdowns to the body.
Garcia wasted little time kicking Kambosos while he was down, posting on X: “George Kambozo sucks”. It didn’t take long for the Australian to fire back.
“Won more belts than you’ll ever win princess the clean way, cheating dog,” Kambosos replied. “I rather go out on my shield against the best and lose like a man than cheat with weight advantages and enhancements like you did. Let’s have a street fight, then f*** the ring!! Use all the (syringe emoji) you want.”
Garcia ‘Made A Mockery’ Of Boxing
Kambosos was referring to the ongoing controversy following Garcia’s career-defining victory over Devin Haney last month when the Californian floored the unbeaten two-weight world champion three times on his way to a majority-decision win.
However, it has since come to light that Garcia failed two drug tests the day before and on the day of the fight, testing positive for the banned substance ostarine. A full investigation is now underway including testing Garcia’s B-sample.
Garcia continued to trade insults with Kambosos on social media, posting a now-deleted photo of himself in a tropical location, which prompted another response from the Australian.
“You should be in the Bahamas hiding away but you ain’t getting away from them enhancement charges princess,” Kambosos wrote. “You’ll be banned from our beautiful sport that you made a mockery out of ya cheating dog. ‘I couldn’t give two f**ks about you, now go stick another needle in your ass.”
Garcia then went personal and claimed in a post he has since deleted that he slept with Kambosos’ wife, writing: “I slept with George Kambozo wife no cap. You wanna play with me and say I did steroids. Keep playing. No mercy. I could show proof but then would actually be mean.
Kambosos Calls Garcia ‘Classless’
“My next goal is to make sure George wife and I are together forever and we raise his kids. All fair in love and war. And when George and His wife make love that’s fair. But when we fight it can be war. All fair in my opinion.
“I slept with his fiancée (George’s girl). I can beat his ass. And he can’t do anything about it. I’d be pissed. ‘He still hasn’t came out to play.”
Garcia had at this point clearly enraged Kambosos, who replied: “Slept with your mother if want to get that low you dog. Shows the classless person you are talking about my wife the mother of my kids. Your dead when I see you. NO BOXING.”
The exchange finally ended when Garcia responded: “Bro I was Jking my bad B. Hahahahaahah People are hilarious.”
The chances of this beef going any further than a few social media insults is very unlikely. While both used to operate at lightweight, Garcia has moved up to super-lightweight and is set to climb even higher to welterweight.
