Joshua Makes Wallin Quit After Round Five
Anthony Joshua stole the show, making Otto Wallin quit at the end of the fifth round to upstage Deontay Wilder in Saudi Arabia.
Heading into the fight, the Bronze Bomber was vocal about how he should have headlined the main event. Joshua got the honour, which was justified since Wilder lost to Joseph Parker. Joshua did not make the same mistake. He started the fight well. His jab was followed by the right hand down the middle ,which troubled Wallin all night. The Swede struggled to cope; his nose was pouring with blood, while the area above the right eye had a cut by the third.
Joshua In Control
It would soon be over. Joshua landed a right to the midsection to slow Wallin down in the fifth. This was followed by a right and a left hook to the chin. The same combination followed as Wallin’s team saw enough. The towel came in after round five. In the aftermath, Joshua kept himself calm and refused to hit out at Wilder following his loss.

“I can’t grade my performance. [Coach] Ben Davidson will judge that for me and the fans at home, so I’ll let them judge me. [That was] Not a throwback fight, just another fight. Just another day in the office. It’s like snakes and ladders, one wins moves you up, a defeat moves you all the way down.
“I’m searching for greatness, trying to improve. I wasn’t watching [Wilder]. I just focusing on myself. I heard Deontay lost. So what, he’ll come back. Look at Dubois this evening. You can come back and do anything. If he [Wilder] wants, he can come back and do it again,” Joshua said
