John Fury Demands That KSI Pay Up Following Their Bet

In today’s boxing news, John Fury has demanded that KSI pay him the sum of £200,000 following their bet.

The bet was in relation to KSI’s bout with Tommy Fury as the latter won by a majority decision. And as part of that process, KSI had made a bet with John Fury prior to the bout that he would come out victorious. The bet had been made during a live stream that was part of the build up to the fight.

Fury: “I will bet you $200,000 that he beats the s*** out of you, I’ll bet you $200,000. I’m not as rich as you guys, but I will bet you £200,000 of my money.”

KSI: “I’ll take the £200,000. And for £200,000, I’m gonna make you dance, I’ll slap you with every £50 note.

“I’m actually gonna give it to charity, that’s what I’m gonna do.”

And now that the dust has settled down somewhat, Fury has demanded that KSI pay up.

Fury On KSI Bet

“This is a quick video to KSI – you owe me £200,000. We had a bet, I want paying,” Fury

Nevertheless, there are question marks over whether the bet will be paid. Jake Paul had a similar bet with John Fury when the ‘Problem Child’ took on Tommy Fury.

The winner was on course to receive the other fighter’s purse. And given that a verbal agreement was made, Fury demanded the sum once Fury won via a split decision.

But given that the agreement did not come in the form of a contract, the bet ultimately went unpaid. And that is something that Fury was looking to avoid this time around.

“Don’t be like the other fella Jake Paul. Be a man and pay your bets. We had a bet live on a podcast, we’ve got all the evidence there, we’ve put it all together. You owe me, John Fury, £200,000. I want paying, thank you very much,” Fury said

Danis’ Payday

At the same time, Dillion Danis has claimed that he made over $1 million for his bout with Logan Paul.

The duo faced off against each other on October 14th, 2023, in a fight that ended up in a disqualification. As Paul was dominating the fight, without causing any extensive damage to Danis, the latter attempted to implement two MMA moves.

A takedown and guillotine choke was unsuccessful. However, that forced the referee to call off the fight. While that may have been the case, it appears that Danis made a lucrative amount in a fight where the MMA fighter was making his boxing debut.

And having got out of the bout without any serious damage, Danis walked away with a hefty sum.

“Dillon Danis apparently got paid a pretty penny to get his ass whooped by Logan Paul,” TMZ Sports

“[I got] Over a million US,” Danis

The boxing bouts on the card may not have been the best spectacle. But given that the fight sold a reported $1.3 million pay-per-views, the boxers were recompensed very well. And there is no getting away from that.
