Joe Rogan Reacts To McGregor’s Cocaine Admission – ‘He’s Partying Real Hard’

Joe Rogan commented on Conor McGregor’s cocaine admission in light of his recent sexual assault civil lawsuit.
McGregor suffered massive damage to his reputation after Nikita Hand filed a lawsuit alleging sexual assault over a 2018 incident in Dublin at a hotel room. McGregor maintained his innocence. However, the jury said otherwise, as McGregor was told to pay Hand around $258,440 in damages. Things got worse as McGregor also had to cover her legal costs close to $158,000. The verdict was also tough for McGregor since his friend, James Lawrence, was found not liable after initially being named in the lawsuit.
There have been major repercussions for McGregor. The Proper No. 12 Irish Whiskey brand has removed McGregor from their marketing. This was a drink that McGregor helped form. The airports in Cork and Dublin have also stated that they will not stock McGregor’s drinks. The Hitman video game franchise has also stated they do not want to work with McGregor. An Irish politician, Ruth Coppinger, mentioned a public boycott of McGregor’s products.
This places more pressure on McGregor to make a return to the UFC. He always had the luxury of not having to fight urgently since he was financially secure. But the Irishman still has two fights left on his UFC contract. He was scheduled to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303 on June 29. But The Notorious pulled out of this fight because he suffered a broken toe. He then announced that he would be fighting Dan Hooker on February 1 in Saudi Arabia. The UFC did not confirm this, making that less likely.
Rogan Reacts
McGregor has not been in the Octagon since his UFC 264 defeat against Dustin Poirier in 2021. That continued a poor run of form as he lost his last three out of four fights. He also suffered a broken leg, which made the defeat much worse. Rogan felt it was very difficult to see McGregor returning, especially given his mindset. The Irishman admitted during his lawsuit that he took cocaine on the night of the alleged incident. Rogan felt this was an indicator that McGregor may no longer be in the right frame of mind to return to the UFC.
“I don’t know if Conor’s ever going to fight again. [I don’t] know the real details of that case. [And] I know his version of it, and her version of it, and what played out in the court, but the reality is that guy’s partying, and he’s partying real hard, and he talked about it in the court case. He was talking about cocaine. That was the whole thing: [he said] ‘we were doing cocaine…He likes coke. We’ve all seen Conor get beat up and knocked out. We’ve seen Conor’s sparring footage. He’s sparring pro boxers, he’s sparring elite fighters. You’re getting hit in the head a lot. A lot of fighters, especially toward the ends of their careers, turn to drugs,” Rogan said
