Post-Fight
“I saw the way he was rolling on the floor. [And] I knew that was it. I’m more upset than any of the 10,000 fans in here. I managed to leave Arizona uglier than I came twice in a row. It was a tough fight. To be in the ring with ‘Gallo,’ a legend, and to take his belts makes it that much more special. I know he’s a tough fighter. It’s an honor to share the ring with Gallo. [And] I saw the way he was rolling on the floor, I knew that was it.
“I got dropped for the first time — that was crazy. I just got caught with a punch, the next thing you know I was on the floor but I’ve always wanted to experience that. [And] I know it’s bad but I always pictured myself in a fight like this. To be in the ring with ‘El Gallo,’ a legend, and to take his belts … it makes it that much more better,” Rodriguez
“I want to say thank you to Phoenix Arizona, because that was exactly what we dreamed of,” Eddie Hearn
