Jake Paul Wants Conor McGregor Next

Jake Paul is targeting a bout with Conor McGregor provided that he comes out victorious against Nate Diaz. 

The pair will square off on August 5th, 2023, in a crossover event as Diaz makes his boxing debut.

Paul is the favorite going into the fight, given that he has had more professional boxing bouts.

Not only that, but wins over Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley proved that Paul was capable of getting the best of MMA stars. And if he does do that with Diaz, McGregor could be next.

Speculation had emerged that the pair could face each other with reports that Paul had offered McGregor $50 million in order to make that happen. Although nothing materialized, there is a chance that it could happen later down the line. 

“As far as my personal career, there’s so many fighters. We have offers out to Fury [for the rematch], we’ve been trying to do the KSI negotiations for years. But when I knock out Diaz, I think McGregor’s going to see me, want a payday, and come and get knocked out,” Paul

This naturally begs the question: what would the format be? Well, McGregor does have a taste of what it is like to enter a boxing ring when he faced Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Despite coming out second best, he did manage to last 10 rounds with an all-time great.

However, given Paul’s recent deal with the PFL that allows him to make his MMA debut, there is a chance that he could face McGregor in the cage. His following comments confirmed as much.

“Either one. We can fight in the PFL smart cage, whatever it is. I told everybody that I would fight Conor in any form of fight because he, in my opinion, is that shot.

“I’ll do MMA, I’m not afraid to step in there. I’ve wanted to do that my whole career. I’m a wrestler, I’ve got a wrestling background, so all I’d have to learn is some jiu-jitsu and some kicks, which seems pretty easy to me,” Paul
