Jake Paul Moves On From Conor McGregor – ‘He Knows I’m Better’

Jake Paul has moved on from Conor McGregor, stating that the Irishman is unwilling to face him.
Paul is currently preparing to face Gervonta Davis for his November 14 exhibition, the latest mega boxing fight following his bout against Mike Tyson last year. The Problem Child has consistently called out McGregor, who has not had a fight since 2021. That was when he broke his leg in his loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in 2021.
Conor’s only boxing bout took place in 2017 when he took on Floyd Mayweather. The Notorious ultimately suffered a loss, but reports indicated he earned $100 million for the fight. A fight against Paul could produce similar numbers, but Conor’s focus seems elsewhere. He has indicated his desire to fight on the UFC White House card, meaning a fight with Paul is not a priority. Now, Paul seems to have accepted that.
“I doubt it, because I just don’t think he would take that risk. He knows I’m a better striker and boxer than him. And that’s as it sits today. I’m only continuing to improve, too, [while] who knows what that guy is doing? Unfortunately, I don’t think that he ever fights me,” Paul said
McGregor’s Alternatives
Elsewhere, former multi-division bare knuckle boxing champion (BKB) Jimmy Sweeney, says Conor McGregor will have a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) bout. Sweeney made the comments ahead of his BKFC bout at BKFC Italy, which ended in a loss. McGregor, who is a part-owner of BKFC, has said previously he would like to fight under the organization. However, he has two fights left on his UFC contract, meaning he would need their approval. McGregor has frequently teased a fight with Mike Perry, having faced off against him on more than one occasion. Sweeney expects The Notorious to eventually fight in BKFC.
“I can definitely see him fighting because like what you realize is like he’s a fighting man. That’s like; he’s made his name through fighting. I mean he’s done MMA and he’s obviously a two-weight world champion of it and a great fighter. So it’s still in him to compete. It’s still in him to fight and he’s the owner of like a company that’s a new company and new sport. It’s exciting. Everyone’s talking about it. Everyone wants to do it.
“We just seen the other day in the UK where ex-professional boxers have come over. We got reality stars. So, it’s obviously something that I feel like he needs to do. Not needs to do, but he’s going to give it a try. So, he definitely; I think when he gets the the fight sorted with the UFC’s contract or something like that, he’ll definitely compete in it,” Sweeney said
