Jake Paul Calls Out Nate Diaz Over MMA Fight Fears

Jake Paul says Nate Diaz is scared to fight him in MMA, forcing the latter to respond.
Paul has not made his MMA debut since signing with the PFL last year. Instead, he has been pursuing his boxing career. His current record stands at 11-1, with seven wins by knockout. His only loss has come against Tommy Fury. Since then, he has won five on the bounce. He is coming off a win against Mike Tyson in a fight that earned him a reported $40 million. That has removed the pressure on Paul to fight for money since he has secured his financial future.
He has been linked with an MMA fight against Diaz for some time. Paul boxed Natez on the latter’s boxing debut last August. Diaz got up from the canvas to make it to the final bell. However, he came up short as he lost a unanimous decision. Paul offered to face Diaz in a rematch with a $10 million offer. PFL’s Donn Davis also said he was willing to make a $15 million offer to Diaz. The fight never got made, and both sides blamed each other. That has now continued.
Paul Vs. Diaz
“We want to, but our opponents don’t actually really want to. It’s funny that Nate Diaz is actually scared to fight me in MMA. The biggest payday of his life would be me and him in MMA. I’m ready,” Paul said
“Jake just put on the biggest boxing event in history. If the right opponent, if Nate Diaz wants to fight, Jake has always said he wants to do it. But he’s very focused on boxing,” Nakisa Bidarian (MVP Co-Founder)
Diaz has hit back by telling Paul to sign the contract if he is serious about making the fight.
“Sign the contract Scary and not in 12 months from now and in a [rubbish] organization scary,” Diaz revealed
Outside of Diaz, Paul has been linked with MMA fights against Tyron Woodley and Tommy Fury. Paul boxed Woodley twice, beating him on both occasions. He knocked out Woodley in their last clash. Woodley is a former UFC Welterweight Champion, making him a big name.
Other Options
The other option is to rematch Fury in MMA. Paul reportedly offered Fury $15-20 million over a two-fight deal. One would have been in boxing, and the other in MMA. Fury has been seen training with the UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall. Tommy admitted that he would be open to fighting Paul after doing the requisite training.
“Jake Paul’s in the PFL, isn’t he? I’m going to smash his face in when I get good at MMA. I’ll beat him in boxing and the cage. Big useless prick. I reckon a year-and-a-half to two years of training until I’ll beat him in a fight, no problem, in the cage.
“He’s got the funds; he’s got the best trainers in the world. [And] he’s got the best sparring in the world. So, he’s doing all right. But no match for me. I swear to you, next time I fight him, I’ll knock him out. In MMA, I just want to give him a big, fat knee. All elbows, no fists,” Fury stated
