IBF Cruiserweight Champion Jai Opetaia is set for a vital defense on Saturday against mandatory challenger Huseyin Cinkara, as fans gave their predictions.

For Opetaia, the bout is a necessity to keep his hopes alive of a unification. This defense marks Opetaia’s third of 2025, following successful victories over David Nyika and Claudio Squeo. The Australian champion had been heavily linked to a unification fight with WBO and WBA titleholder Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez. However, that opportunity is off the table for now, as Ramirez is expected to box David Benavidez on May 2. Standing in Opetaia’s way is the undefeated German challenger, Huseyin Cinkara. Cinkara enters the ring for his very first shot at a world title, with a 82% knockout rate. The 40-year-old challenger has been on a tear, having stopped his last three opponents, most recently knocking out Juan Diaz in April.
