Hughie Fury Backs Himself To Beat Joshua – ‘I’d Blitz Him’

Hughie Fury, Tyson Fury’s brother, has backed himself to destroy Anthony Joshua.

Fury may not be the biggest name out there, but he does have a respectable boxing record to date.

His record stands at 26-3-0, but defeats against Alexander Povetkin, Kubrat Pulev and Joseph Parker showed that the boxer has fallen short at world level.

In contrast, Joshua is a former unified heavyweight champion with major victories over Wladimir Klitschko and Dillian Whyte

Not only that, but Fury’s skillset has not served him well despite having the physical attributes.

The boxer stands at 6’6, much like his brother the ‘Gypsy King,’ but so far, that has not resulted in the star utilizing his assets in a way to win a world title.

While the chances of Fury facing Joshua are slim, the former still backed himself to stop the Brit if he was ever given the chance.

“I’d blitz him. They’re the fights I want. Joshua honestly wouldn’t stand a chance. He’s a complete stiff altogether. There’s nothing about him whatsoever.

“I think he’s a stiff, and it couldn’t be an easier fight. That’s if it happens. I want to get this first fight out of the way, and then those are the fights I want,” Hughie Fury

In reality, Hughie’s chances of a major fight would be a domestic one against the lesser-successful heavyweights. A potential fight with Martin Bakole, or David Adeleye could occur later down the line.

But before anything of that nature happens, Fury would have to get himself back in the ring. The star has been out of action since 2021 after a long battle with his health.

But through it all, a comeback could be on the way this summer.

“Hopefully, I get back out in August and put on a show. I want to blow out the cobwebs and get these big fights. I’ve been very frustrated not being able to get these fights, but that’s all going to change now,” Fury

The sooner Fury returns, the quicker his career can resume back on track. You can stay up-to-date with the latest happenings in the world of boxing by visiting boxingblitz right here.
