Garcia Reportedly Breaks Into Ex-Wife's Home - Is His Career Over?

Ryan Garcia has caused controversy following reports that he had broken into his ex-wife Andrea Celina’s home.

According to Celina, Garcia did this after she refused to allow him the chance to see his children. This was because of Garcia’s alleged substance abuse. The following clip shows Celina in tears after Garcia’s alleged break-in. Meanwhile, the screenshots show that Garcia had sent her a torrent of abuse.

Garcia’s Troubles

The boxer admitted drinking and smoking weed in the build-up to his fight with Devin Haney, raising worries that he was not focused on the sport and his health. Things became worse for Garcia after he tested positive for Ostarine. He was subsequently banned for one year, meaning his win over Haney became a no-contest. The WBC also banned Garcia after his tirade on X, which included racial slurs. Garcia’s words targeted Christians, Muslims and African Americans.

“Exercising my authority as president of the WBC , I am hereby expelling Ryan Garcia from any activity with our organization. We reject any form of discrimination. I fear for Ryan well being as he has declined multiple attempts for our help with mental health and substance abuse,” WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said

“Our family unequivocally does not support any statements [Garcia] has made regarding race or religion – these do not reflect who Ryan truly is and how he was raised. Those who know Ryan can attest to this fact. Ryan has been open about his ongoing struggle with mental health over the years and as a family we are committed to ensuring and encouraging that he receives the necessary help to navigate this very challenging time and address both his immediate and long-term well-being,” Garcia’s family statement

Garcia’s Career

While Garcia hopes to return to boxing after his ban in April 2025, has he done too much damage for the public to welcome him back? He made disparaging remarks about Caleb Plant’s wife. Plant hit out at Garcia when they both attended Gervonta Davis‘ fight against Frank Martin.

When Garcia exited the arena, Plant threw a beer at him. There was a mild confrontation before Garcia made his way out. Ryan was also escorted out of the arena when Nate Diaz boxed Jorge Masvidal. Reports indicated that he had gotten into a confrontation with some fans, forcing security to evict him. Garcia denied this was the case, saying he left voluntarily, but it did nothing to improve his PR image.

Will De La Hoya Back Him?

His promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, has tried desperately to come to Garcia’s aid, suggesting that Ryan’s racial comments were due to substance abuse. Garcia stated that he would be going to rehab, but his current behavior suggests otherwise. Given that Garcia is one of De La Hoya’s biggest stars, the Golden Boy promoter has been defending his fighter.

“It’s wrong what he said, but you got to gather all the information before you make the accusations the way the WBC did. I’m not a doctor. I don’t know. Maybe Ryan has a bad psychological problem when he does. I heard he does shrooms, drugs, and or when he’s drinking. Maybe he has people inside his circle telling him it’s okay to do this like a sabotage type of thing.

“In boxing, you don’t know what the hell is going on around your circle because people can plant things. The WBC made their statement, and it is what it is. I’m no doctor. I just know what he said was wrong. I know Ryan. Ryan is not a racist guy; he’s just not. I know him. He’s not that,” De La Hoya stated
