Gaethje Stops Poirier To Become The ‘BMF’ Title Holder
Justin Gaethje became the new ‘BMF’ title holder by knocking out Dustin Poirier.
Gaethje got his revenge over Poirier following his loss to him in 2018. But this time around, it was Gaethje’s night.
In the first round, Poirier started well as he found some success with his right hand that caused his opponent to have a cut over his eyebrow.
The two continued to trade in the opening round, as Poirier was looking confident. Although that may have been the case, Gaethje ended the bout in the next round.

His hooks were telling, but it was a high kick that landed on Poirier’s face which finished the fight in spectacular fashion.

In the co-main event, Alex Pereira beat Jan Blachowicz on his light heavyweight debut via a unanimous decision.
In the first round, Blachowicz took Pereira to the canvas with his takedown as he put the pressure on his opponent to edge the first round.
Although that may have been the case, Pereira fought back with his jabs and kicks in a better second. Thereafter, Pereira’s striking was more effective as he won on the scorecards: 29-28, 28-29, 29-28.
