Fury Vs. Ngannou UK PPV Price Revealed

In the latest boxing news, the UK pay-per-view price for Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou has been revealed, setting fans back £21.95 on TNT Sports.
The crossover fight will take place on October 28th, 2023, as Ngannou makes his boxing debut. The former UFC heavyweight champion is seen as a massive underdog, which is why the pay-per-view price has been set at the lower end.
Nevertheless, the fight has still been criticised on the grounds that it will not prove competitive. And yet, at a time when boxing fans have been vocal about not getting value for money, the price has raised a lot of talking points.
Fury-Ngannou Price
In comparison to Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois’ fight, the price is an actual increase. The former bout was set at £19.95 on TNT sports, which still received scrutiny, despite the fact that a world title was on the line.
However, the outcome of the fight did pacify any critics given the controversy surrounding it. Dubois’ punched in the fifth round was declared a low blow, which prevented the boxer from becoming the unified heavyweight champion as the Brit was stopped in round nine.
Nevertheless, in comparison to the US price, the fight is significantly a lot less. US fight fans are expected to pay $79.99 to see the crossover bout.
Although it is still less than the Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia, Errol Spence Jr. vs. Terence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo bouts, the price is for a non-title fight. And that raised a lot discontent from boxing fans.
“£3 cheaper than what I paid for KSI Fury lol.
“A fair price I’d say. There’s a few decent heavyweight fights on the undercard too such as the Joseph Parker fight, Bakole vs Takam, Wardley vs Adeyele.”
“Seems very fair, especially considering casual fans were paying £20 and a year’s subscription to watch KSI at the weekend.” Not all fans were happy, however, with one saying: “Who’s buying? Fury ends this when he wants.”
Fury’s Mindset
And yet, Fury has been talking up the fight in an attempt to demonstrate the uniqueness of the event. A loss for Fury would ultimately damage his career, and it may well go some way to justify the price.
“I need to bring my A-game because there is more on the line than a boxing fight. If I lose to an MMA guy, I will never be able to show my face in public again and I will be ridiculed. People will chuck it at me forever. So, if the media want to take it as a joke or whatever, make no mistake I will come into this leaving zero stones unturned. I will come in at my fittest, strongest and at the best I have ever been. If I am not, if I get knocked out, I want people to laugh at me,” Fury
But whatever way it appears, the bout will certainly be a unique spectacle. Find all the latest boxing news and MMA breaking updates on boxingblitz.
