Fury Beats KSI In A ‘Controversial Decision,’ Logan Beats Danis After Latter Is Disqualified For An MMA Move

In today’s boxing news, Tommy Fury emerged victorious over KSI via a controversial majority decision.
Fury was the favorite going into the bout, as he faced KSI who was having only his second professional boxing bout. And yet, the latter’s performance exceeded expectations.
KSI-Fury
From the beginning, KSI’s tactics were clear. The former used his hand speed and came forward with his jab before clinching in an attempt to prevent anything coming back.
Although it appeared predictable, Fury struggled to pin down his opponent. The latter’s jab failed to keep KSI at bay, who managed to close the distance and negate any size difference.
The opening round saw KSI land with a big right hand in an opener where very few shots connected. Fury responded in kind in the next round as he scored with two right hands.
Although KSI responded with a flurry of punches, nothing of note landed for the fighter. In fact, Fury was docked a point for hitting on the back of the head in round two.
Thereafter, both fighters were clinching and grappling with very little being thrown. As the fight entered the last two rounds, there was very little to choose between the two fighters.
The bout went to the scorecards as the judges had it as follows: 57-56, 57-56 and 57-57. KSI was very vocal about being ‘robbed’ given that the one-point deduction could have proved vital.
And yet, Judge Rafael Ramos scored the bout incorrectly as 57-57. The scores were totalled up wrong with the final score in reality being 57-56.

I’d rather watch John Fury watch the fight than watch the fight

Straight 🗑️. That wasn’t boxing. Only wins on point deduction. Neither man even knocked down.

Paul Beats Danis
In chief support, Logan Paul beat Dillon Danis after the latter was disqualified for using an MMA move. The build up to the fight had been marred by controversy after Danis’ social media posts about Paul’s fiancée, Nina Agdal, resulted in the latter suing him.
Prior to the fight, Paul vowed to stop Danis. And yet, the performance showed no signs of that happening. Although Paul connected with 108 punches, he failed to hurt Danis who was making his boxing debut.
In contrast, Danis only landed 16 in the whole fight as the MMA fighter appeared keen on simply going the distance. After all, Danis has not fought since 2019.
And as it became clear that Danis was not going to inflict any damage on Paul, the former resorted to doing a takedown.
