Vladimir Shishkin

Professional Career

Shishkin made his professional debut on July 31, 2016, with a fourth-round TKO victory over Andrejs Loginovs in Riga, Latvia. From the outset, Shishkin demonstrated his formidable power and technical skills, attributes that would define his career. His early career saw him competing primarily in Russia, where he quickly built an unbeaten record. Notable victories during this period include a unanimous decision win over Karen Avetisyan in August 2016 and a TKO victory against Attila Körös in February 2017. By 2018, Shishkin had captured the WBA Asia interim super-middleweight title with a seventh-round TKO of Sergey Khomitsky in Saint Petersburg. He continued his dominance by securing the WBA Asia super-middleweight title later that year with a knockout victory over Gasan Gasanov.

Shishkin’s success in Russia paved the way for his move to the United States, where he continued to showcase his skills on a larger stage. His American debut came on August 23, 2019, with a TKO win over DeAndre Ware in Oklahoma. He followed this with a series of significant victories, including a unanimous decision over Ulises Sierra in January 2020 and a TKO win against Óscar Riojas in August 2020 at the iconic Kronk Gym in Detroit, Michigan.

In 2021, Shishkin continued his winning streak with a unanimous decision over Sena Agbeko at the Mohegan Sun Arena. This victory was followed by a TKO win against Jeyson Minda in March 2022 and a unanimous decision over José Uzcátegui in December 2022, cementing his status as a top contender in the super-middleweight division. Shishkin’s most recent bouts have further solidified his reputation. On September 29, 2023, he scored a second-round knockout against Ramon Ayala in Miami, Florida. He followed this with a seventh-round TKO victory over Mike Guy on March 28, 2024, at the Wayne State Fieldhouse in Detroit.
