Professional Career

Tania Enriquez, a Mexican professional boxer, has established herself as a formidable presence in the ring with a career marked by impressive victories and title achievements. Her career began on October 23, 2013, with a first-round knockout victory over Dulce Galaviz at the Salon Las Pulgas in Tijuana. This explosive debut set the tone for Enriquez’s career, showcasing her power and skill from the outset. Continuing her ascent, Enriquez faced Diana Gonzalez twice in 2014, winning both bouts by unanimous decision. These fights demonstrated her ability to dominate opponents with technical precision and endurance. A highlight in her early career was a first-round knockout against Ana Joaquina Perez on August 1, 2014, at Palenque del Parque Morelos, further solidifying her reputation as a knockout artist.

Enriquez’s momentum continued as she moved into more challenging bouts. In 2015, she secured a unanimous decision victory over Selene Lopez in Mexicali, followed by a series of wins, including a notable ninth-round technical knockout against Brenda Ramos in November of the same year. These victories displayed her ability to perform at a high level in extended bouts, emphasizing her stamina and strategic prowess. In 2016, Enriquez continued to demonstrate her dominance, with a second-round stoppage of Mary Gastelum and a third-round technical knockout of Carol Castro Madrid. Her consistent performances earned her a unanimous decision victory over Selene Lopez in September, capping off a year of impressive wins.

After a brief hiatus, Enriquez returned to the ring in 2018, securing unanimous decision victories over Barbara Martinez Munoz and Ana Victoria Polo. Her momentum carried into 2019, where she continued to rack up wins, including a split decision victory over Jacqueline Coutino and a unanimous decision against Tania Garcia Hernandez.

One of Enriquez’s notable achievements came on March 6, 2020, when she claimed the vacant WBC International Light Flyweight title with a seventh-round technical knockout over Elizabeth Lopez Corzo. This victory not only added a prestigious title to her resume but also highlighted her continued ability to finish fights decisively. Despite a setback in 2023, losing a unanimous decision to Evelin Nazarena Bermudez in Buenos Aires for the vacant IBF and WBO World Light Flyweight titles, Enriquez bounced back with a first-round technical knockout victory over Cecilia Nino Rodriguez in July. This win reaffirmed her status as a top contender in the division.
