Suzumi Takayama began his journey on February 26, 2019, at Korakuen Hall, where he faced Nirun Baonok. Takayama won by knockout in the third round, setting the stage for his rise in the boxing world. He continued his winning streak on June 25, 2019, with a first-round TKO victory over In Soo Jang, further establishing himself as a formidable opponent in the ring. Takayama’s career took a significant step forward on October 19, 2019, when he competed for the vacant Japanese Youth Super Flyweight title against Tetsuro Ohashi. In a dominating performance, Takayama secured the title with an eighth-round knockout, showcasing his endurance and knockout power. After a hiatus, he returned to the ring on July 21, 2021, defeating Kosuke Tomioka by first-round TKO, reaffirming his position as a top contender.

 

One of Takayama’s notable victories came on October 30, 2021, against Kai Chiba at Korakuen Hall. Takayama’s latest triumph came on April 25, 2024, when he defended his Japanese Super Flyweight title against Akio Furutani.
