Professional Career
Ramon Cardenas began his professional boxing career on July 25, 2015, with a knockout victory against Jonathan Hernandez in Piedras Negras. This debut set the tone for a promising career ahead. Following this, he continued his winning streak, including a unanimous decision win over Porfirio Arellano on August 8, 2015, at the Event Center in San Antonio. Cardenas faced Lavale Wilson on January 16, 2016, at the International Center for Trade in Eagle Pass, securing a knockout victory in the first round. This early success was a precursor to a string of victories, including a notable win against Isau Duenez on May 28, 2016, at Cowboys Dance Hall in San Antonio, where he won by unanimous decision.
A significant bout in Cardenas’s career occurred on October 27, 2018, when he faced Ramsey Luna at the San Antonio Shrine Auditorium. Cardenas won by unanimous decision over ten rounds, capturing the vacant American Boxing Federation Inter-Continental Featherweight title. On August 14, 2021, Cardenas fought Marvin Solano at the Caribe Royale Orlando, winning by TKO in the third round.
