Professional Career

Radivoje Kalajdzic, also known as “Hot Rod,” has crafted a noteworthy professional boxing career defined by his powerful performances and resilience in the ring. His debut on June 3, 2011, was a harbinger of his future success as he knocked out Nyantu Bolo in just 34 seconds at the A La Carte Event Pavilion in Tampa, Florida. This early victory set the stage for a series of impressive knockouts and technical knockouts that characterized his early career.

Kalajdzic continued to build his reputation with a string of decisive victories, including a first-round knockout of Marlon Farr in September 2011 and a third-round TKO of Richmond Dalphone in November 2011. By 2013, he had accumulated a series of victories, often ending his fights in the early rounds, demonstrating his formidable punching power. Notable wins during this period include a first-round TKO over Dennis Sharpe in April 2013 and a second-round TKO against Donta Woods in July 2013.

As Kalajdzic progressed through the ranks, he faced tougher competition and continued to prove his mettle. His split decision win over Lionell Thompson in March 2014 and unanimous decision victory against Rayco Saunders in October 2014 highlighted his ability to go the distance and secure wins through skill and endurance. His first major setback came in April 2016 when he suffered a split decision loss to Marcus Browne at the Barclays Center in New York City. Despite this loss, Kalajdzic rebounded with a series of wins, including a first-round knockout of Alex Theran in October 2018.

Kalajdzic’s career took a significant turn in May 2019 when he challenged Artur Beterbiev for the IBF light heavyweight title. Although he was defeated by a knockout in the fifth round, this high-profile fight underscored his status as a top contender in the light heavyweight division. Following this loss, Kalajdzic returned to winning ways with victories over Denis Grachev in November 2020 and Guillermo Ruben Andino in December 2021. In recent years, Kalajdzic has continued to demonstrate his prowess in the ring. In May 2022, he secured a first-round TKO win against Ernest Amuzu, and in September 2023, he defeated Mickey Ellison with an eighth-round TKO. His most recent victory came on March 14, 2024, when he stopped Sullivan Barrera in the tenth round at the Probox Event Arena in the United States.
