Biography

Professional Career

Beginning his career on July 13, 2014, with a unanimous decision victory over Michael Camelion at ACSAT Gymnasium in Carmen, Jerusalem quickly established himself as a promising talent in the sport. Jerusalem’s early career saw a series of decisive wins, often by knockout. Notable victories included TKO wins over Christian Solatorio and Jomar Cenita, both in the second round. His power and precision continued to shine as he defeated Rez Padrogane and Rodante Suacasa, both by knockout in the second and first rounds, respectively. By 2016, Jerusalem had amassed an impressive record and was seen as a rising star in the mini-flyweight division.

Jerusalem’s first major test came on January 25, 2017, when he challenged Wanheng Menayothin for the WBC mini-flyweight title in Phitsanulok, Thailand. Despite a valiant effort, Jerusalem lost by unanimous decision, marking his first professional defeat. However, he bounced back with victories over Fabio Marfa and Jonathan Refugio, displaying his resilience and ability to recover from setbacks. In 2018, Jerusalem continued his winning streak, capturing the OPBF mini-flyweight title with a unanimous decision win over Toto Landero. He defended this title successfully, including a TKO win over Jayson Francisco. Jerusalem’s career reached new heights on January 6, 2023, when he defeated Masataka Taniguchi by TKO in the second round to win the WBO mini-flyweight title at the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium in Japan.

However, his reign as WBO mini-flyweight champion was short-lived. On May 27, 2023, Jerusalem lost the title to Oscar Collazo, who forced a retirement in the seventh round at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California. Despite this setback, Jerusalem demonstrated his ability to bounce back once again. He secured a unanimous decision victory over Francis Jay Diaz on October 29, 2023, at Robinson’s Mall in General Santos City, Philippines. Jerusalem’s resilience was further demonstrated on March 31, 2024, when he captured the WBC mini-flyweight title by defeating Yudai Shigeoka via split decision at the International Conference Hall in Nagoya, Japan.
