Biography

Professional Career

Maciej Sulecki, a prominent Polish boxer, has carved out an impressive career in the middleweight division, known for his technical skills and resilience in the ring. He began his professional journey on June 19, 2010, with a first-round TKO victory over Adam Gawlik in Kielce, Poland. This auspicious debut was a precursor to a series of victories that saw him quickly rise through the ranks of Polish and international boxing.

Sulecki’s early career was marked by a string of wins across various Polish venues, where he showcased his ability to dominate his opponents with both power and precision. By 2014, he had captured the Republic of Poland middleweight title with a unanimous decision over Lukasz Wawrzyczek, solidifying his status as one of Poland’s top boxing talents. His success continued with notable victories over Grzegorz Proksa and Darryl Cunningham, leading to his eventual move to the United States to further his career.

In the U.S., Sulecki faced tougher competition but continued to excel. He claimed the WBO International middleweight title with a unanimous decision win over Gabriel Rosado in March 2019. However, his career faced a significant challenge on June 29, 2019, when he contended for the WBO middleweight title against Demetrius Andrade. Despite a valiant effort, Sulecki lost by unanimous decision at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

Undeterred by this setback, Sulecki returned to the ring and continued to rack up wins. Notable victories include a unanimous decision over Sasha Yengoyan in August 2020 and another unanimous decision against Fouad El Massoudi in December 2021. These victories highlighted Sulecki’s ability to bounce back and remain competitive at a high level. Sulecki’s career reached new heights in 2023 with a second-round knockout of Angel Hernandez at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York. This was followed by a unanimous decision victory over Rowdy Legend Montgomery on May 31, 2024, at the Melrose Ballroom in Queens, New York.
