Professional Career
Keyshawn Davis has rapidly ascended the ranks in the lightweight division, establishing himself as a formidable presence in professional boxing. Making his professional debut on February 27, 2021, at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, Davis showcased his power and skill with a second-round TKO victory over Lester Brown. This strong start set the tone for his career, marked by a string of impressive victories. In 2021, Davis continued his rise with notable performances, including a unanimous decision win over Jose Antonio Meza at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. He followed this up with a second-round TKO against Jose Zaragoza at Madison Square Garden, New York City. Davis’s ability to dominate his opponents with precision and power became evident as he maintained his undefeated record.
Davis’s momentum carried into 2022, where he further solidified his reputation. He delivered a sixth-round TKO against Esteban Sanchez at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada, and secured a fifth-round TKO over Omar Tienda Bahena at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. His victory over Juan Carlos Burgos in December 2022 earned him the vacant WBO Inter-Continental lightweight title, marking a significant milestone in his career. The year 2023 saw Davis continue his winning streak with a series of high-profile bouts. He won the vacant WBC–USNBC lightweight title with a ninth-round TKO over Anthony Yigit in April at the Prudential Center. In July, he defended his titles with a unanimous decision win against Francesco Patera at the Firelake Arena in Shawnee, Oklahoma. However, his victory over Nahir Albright in October was later overturned to a no contest after Davis tested positive for marijuana.
Davis bounced back in early 2024 with a stellar performance against José Pedraza, securing a sixth-round TKO at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Paradise, Nevada. This victory not only retained his WBO Inter-Continental and WBC–USNBC lightweight titles but also earned him the vacant IBF–USBA lightweight title.
