Biography
Professional Career
Ramos made his professional debut on May 26, 2018, with a first-round TKO against Luis Romero in Sonora, Mexico. This explosive start was a sign of things to come, as he continued to rack up victories, predominantly through knockouts, demonstrating his formidable punching power and tactical prowess.
Ramos’s early career was marked by a series of emphatic wins, including multiple knockouts within the first few rounds against opponents like Jose Vergara Grajeda and Hugo Montoya. His ability to conclude fights decisively was further highlighted in his victory against Rickey Edwards in September 2019, where he secured a third-round knockout. Ramos maintained this momentum, capturing attention with a first-round knockout against Seifullah Jihad Wise in April 2019, cementing his status as a rising star in the boxing world.
As Ramos’s competition level increased, so did his performance. He faced tougher opponents and continued to dominate, achieving significant victories such as the unanimous decision against Luke Santamaria in May 2022 at the Barclays Center in New York. Each fight showcased his growing skills and adaptability in the ring. One of the pinnacle moments in Ramos’s career came when he faced Erickson Lubin on September 30, 2023, at the T-Mobile Arena. Although he faced his first professional defeat in this challenging 12-round match, losing by unanimous decision, this bout was a critical test of his abilities against top-tier competition. Undeterred by this setback, Ramos returned to the ring with vigor, securing a TKO victory against Johan Gonzalez in May 2024.
