Biography

Professional Career

Jackson Chauke’s career began with a series of impressive victories, starting with a second-round TKO against Zandisile Twani on October 7, 2008, at Emperors Palace in Kempton Park, South Africa. Chauke quickly established himself as a formidable contender, amassing an undefeated streak in his early career and capturing titles such as the Gauteng flyweight title and the WBF International flyweight title.

One of Chauke’s significant career highlights came on September 19, 2019, when he secured the South African flyweight title with a first-round knockout of Sihle Jelwana at the International Convention Centre in East London. This victory was followed by another notable achievement on the same day, where he won the WBC International flyweight title by unanimous decision against Mekhdi Abdurashedov in Grozny, Russia. These titles marked Chauke’s rise in the international boxing scene, showcasing his ability to compete and succeed against top-tier opponents.

Chauke’s career, however, was not without its challenges. A split decision loss to Phumelele Cafu on December 23, 2022, at the Orient Theatre in East London marked a setback. Despite this defeat, Chauke demonstrated his resilience by bouncing back with a points victory over Thembelani Nxoshe on October 1, 2023, at the same venue. This win paved the way for his crowning achievement on January 27, 2024, when he defeated Kaisy Khademi by unanimous decision at York Hall in London, England, to capture the IBO World flyweight title.

Throughout his career, Chauke has faced a variety of opponents, each bout contributing to his growth and experience as a fighter. His victories over notable competitors like Sinethemba Kotana, whom he defeated by unanimous decision on September 22, 2022, to retain the African Boxing Union flyweight title, and Mustafa K Mkupasi, whom he stopped in the third round on July 28, 2022, to win the vacant African Boxing Union flyweight title,
