Professional Career

He began his career with a series of early knockouts, showcasing his power and potential. Notably, he won the vacant WBC flyweight title on May 20, 2017, by defeating Juan Hernández with a sixth-round TKO. Higa successfully defended his title against Moisés Fuentes and Thomas Masson, solidifying his status in the division. However, his career faced a setback on April 15, 2018, when he lost to Cristofer Rosales by TKO in the ninth round, in a bout where Higa failed to make weight, resulting in the WBC flyweight title being at stake only for Rosales.
