Professional Career
Batyrzhan Jukembayev’s professional boxing career began with his pro debut on September 19, 2015, against Noel Mejia at Bains Mathieu in Montreal. Both fighters weighed in around 141¾ pounds. The bout ended in a no-contest in the second round, marked by an uncertain start to Jukembayev’s career. Despite the initial setback, he quickly rebounded, demonstrating his potential and determination. On March 12, 2016, Jukembayev faced Redy Hernandez at the Olympia Theatre in Montreal. Weighing 139¼ pounds, Jukembayev again saw the fight end in a no-contest, this time in the first round. However, he soon found his footing in the professional arena. On May 13, 2016, at Metropolis in Montreal, Jukembayev secured a TKO victory against Kamil Wybraniec, stopping the bout at 2:42 in the first round. This marked his first decisive win and set the tone for his subsequent fights.
Continuing his momentum, Jukembayev defeated Noel Mejia again on May 27, 2016, at Parc de l’Exposition in Trois-Rivières with a first-round TKO. His winning streak continued with victories over Istvan Dernanecz on June 10, 2016, and Randy Lozano on July 7, 2016, both via early stoppages. These bouts showcased Jukembayev’s powerful striking and ability to end fights quickly. Throughout 2016 and 2017, Jukembayev continued to dominate his opponents. Notable victories included a second-round TKO against Cecilio Santos on September 24, 2016, and a fifth-round TKO against Ivan Pereyra on October 22, 2016. He ended 2016 with a unanimous decision win over Juan Manuel Mares on December 16, showcasing his ability to go the distance when necessary.
In 2017, Jukembayev’s career gained further momentum with a series of impressive wins. He knocked out David Rangel in the first round on January 28 at the Bell Centre in Montreal. On April 6, he claimed the IBO International Super Light title by stopping Cosme Rivera Yocupicio in the seventh round. His knockout power was evident again on October 27, when he stopped Jose Emilio Perea in the first round. Jukembayev continued his winning streak into 2018, with notable victories over Jesus Nunez Rodriguez and Jonathan Jose Eniz. He secured the WBC Continental Americas Super Light title with a seventh-round knockout against Eniz on May 26, 2018. He followed this with another knockout win against Patricio Lopez Moreno on October 6, 2018.
In 2019, Jukembayev faced more experienced opponents, such as Miguel Vazquez, whom he defeated by unanimous decision on September 26 at the Montreal Casino. This victory earned him the IBF Inter-Continental Super Light title. He continued his dominance with wins over Ricardo Lara in 2020 and a series of successful bouts leading up to his TKO victory over Xolani Mcotheli on December 24, 2022, in Almaty. In more recent bouts, Jukembayev has faced and defeated notable fighters such as Hugo Alberto Roldan, Mohamed Mimoune, and Ivan Redkach, showcasing his resilience and skill.
