Professional Career
Antonio Vargas, an accomplished boxer from the United States, embarked on his professional career with a debut victory against Jonathan De La Paz on February 24, 2017. This bout, held at the Tony Rosa Community Center in Palm Bay, Florida, ended with a first-round TKO, showcasing Vargas’s striking power and setting the tone for his future endeavors. Throughout 2017, Vargas maintained his momentum with a series of decisive wins, including a second-round TKO against Miguel Rebullosa and unanimous decision victories over Leonardo Reyes and Jonathan Garza.
In 2018, Vargas continued his winning streak, dominating opponents such as Luis Saavedra and Aaron Lopez with unanimous decisions. His consistent performances culminated in capturing the inaugural NABF Junior Bantamweight title with a victory over Jorge Perez on November 16, 2018. Vargas’s prowess in the ring was evident as he steadily climbed the ranks, remaining undefeated through his first ten professional fights. Vargas faced a significant setback in his career on May 25, 2019, when he suffered his first professional loss to Jose Maria Cardenas via a first-round knockout.
